This policy explains how sunproject.ie uses cookies and similar browser storage. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can remember a preference without sending a cookie with every request. Some cookies are necessary for security and core functionality; others can be used for analytics, personalisation or advertising.
2. What this website currently uses
The Sun Project theme does not activate analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It uses a local-storage preference to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice. WordPress may set necessary cookies for administrators, login security and site preferences. These do not require consent where they are strictly necessary.
| Name or type | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
sunproject_cookie_notice (local storage) |
Remembers that the cookie notice was dismissed. | Up to 180 days |
wordpress_test_cookie |
Checks whether the browser accepts cookies when WordPress login functionality is used. | Session |
wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_* |
Authenticates and protects signed-in WordPress administrators. | Session or login period |
wp-settings-* |
Stores interface preferences for signed-in WordPress users. | Up to one year |
3. Third-party services
Google Fonts may receive technical connection information when font files are requested, but the theme does not use Google Analytics or advertising cookies. The showroom address is a link to Google Maps; Google Maps is not embedded and loads only after you choose to open that link. A third-party service may then apply its own cookies and privacy terms.
4. Optional cookies
No optional analytics or advertising cookies are enabled by this theme. If we add a service that requires consent, we will update this policy and present a consent choice before that service loads. WordPress plugins added later must be reviewed separately because they can introduce additional cookies or external services.
5. Managing browser storage
You can delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent WordPress login or other necessary functionality from working correctly. Dismissing our notice stores only the preference described above; it does not enable advertising or analytics.
6. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies and storage are used because they are required to provide or secure the website service you request. We will ask for consent before using any non-essential cookies where consent is required by law.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy if website technology changes. Questions about cookies or privacy can be sent to hello@sunproject.ie, or by post to John F Kennedy Rd, John F Kennedy Industrial Estate, Dublin, D12 YXR4.
